Gubkin District Electrical Networks and Northern Production Unit of the High-Voltage Grid Office of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division won first place in the contest for the landscaping improvement, gardening and sanitary state of the territory of the city of Gubkin city district in the category “Best Company with up to 1,000 people”. According to the resolution of the local government’s heads of the city of Gubkin and Gubkin district this contest has been held annually since September 2003.
Gubkin power engineers owe their victory in the contest much to participation in another traditional show-contest — landscaping and land use of the territory of Districts Electrical Networks of Belgorodenergo “Green DEN”, which shall be annually attended by all structural units of the division. This explains the interest and attention of the staff to the cleanliness and grooming of the territory of the Electrical Networks, creative approach to solving everyday problems, the desire to increase green areas and improve the quality of maintenance of repair and production facilities.
It should also be noted that it is Gubkin a multiple winner of various contests to be the most beautified settlement. Twice, in 2000 and 2001 it was among the winners of the All-Russian contest for the title of “Most comfortable city in Russia”. Doing overall beautification of the area, Gubkin dwellers create a new, convenient and comfortable living environment, which fosters people to begin actively influence social processes, thus raising the general cultural awareness among the population.
