On April the 8th, 2011, an Agreement on partnership between IDGC Holding, OJSC and CJSC REP Holding (Closed Joint-Stock Company Roselectroprom Holding) was signed at Saint-Petersburg. The document was signed by Nikolay Shvets, the General Director of IDGC Holding, OJSC, and Gennady Lokotkov, the General Director of CJSC REP Holding with presence of Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
As Nikolay Shvets noted, close partnership between electric grid companies and electric technical equipment manufacturers was a necessary condition for both full scale distributive electric grid complex modernization, and stable development of Russian electric technical industry which would have a long term demand for its production for sure, and clearly recognize actual needs of Russian power engineers.
Introduction of innovative equipment at IDGC Holding distributive electric grids would be an important direction of partnership as well. An example was grid electric energy accumulators for stabilization of loading and frequency, management of peak loading, improvement of electric energy quality, and support of renewed energy sources.
Under the Agreement, CJSC REP Holding was obliged to work out and make experimental models of equipment for needs of IDGC Holding operational companies, carry out technical support in operation and repair of own production, for emergency equipment and details stock, and compose a program on introduction of innovation equipment certified due to requirements of IDGC Holding, OJSC at distributive electric grids.
In its turn, IDGC Holding, OJSC would participate in working our and agreement of technical requirements for electric equipment issued by CJSC REP Holding, consider possibility to include proposals of CJSC REP Holding in own innovative development program, and assist in establishment of working contacts between CJSC REP Holding and energy service companies within IDGC Holding.
The ceremonial signing of the Agreement took place at “Nevsky Plant” (one of CJSC REP Holding enterprises) where a meeting on the Russian Federation energy engineering development was implemented under the direction of Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Representatives of leading Russian electric equipment production plants, and heads of the largest electric energy companies including the General Director of IDGC Holding, participated in the meeting.
