Sleet turning into freezing rain and accompanied by an increase in squally wind over the past five days caused power supply interruptions in 18 regions of the Companies’ operational responsibility.
In the Vladimir region, rare natural phenomena today provoked icing of wires, insulators and poles of overhead power lines, branches and stand-alone trees outside the protected areas.
Crews of the Vladimirenergo branch were mobilized in advance, since 22 November, the branch has been working in a special mode of operation. 51 crews, 146 people, 57 pieces of equipment were involved in emergency recovery work. The work will continue until the power supply is fully restored.
Rescue and recovery work is also ongoing in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is carried out by 189 crews, 568 people and 226 pieces of equipment. The work will continue until the power supply is fully restored.
Temporary information centres have been deployed in all regions to promptly inform consumers, the restoration of power supply is carried out in cooperation with the operational Headquarters of the regions.
