The competition was held for employees of the energy companies and was timed to coincide with the Defender of the Fatherland Day. Power engineers were invited to record videos where they perform patriotic songs and poems of their own composition about the Motherland and the continuity of generations, about sons and daughters’ feelings, about love for parents, about heroes of our days, about labour exploits in peacetime.
Dozens of creative works were submitted to the competition. They were posted on the website of the online contests of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region http://energopozitiv.ru/. Winners and awardees were determined by voting, which took place on the site during the month.
According to the voting results, the winner of the competition was the creative team of the Sergachsky high-voltage Distribution Zone of the Nizhnovenergo branch with the video clip “Energy story”. The second place went to Svetlana Verchenko, a technician at the Starozhilovsky Distribution Zone of the Ryazanenergo branch, for the song “The Earth is our home”. The third place was taken by Nadezhda Senotova, a leading engineer of the dispatch service of the Grid Control Centre of Kurskenergo, with the poem “How many tears Russia shed”. A special prize was awarded by the competition committee to Yulia Maksimenko, Deputy Head of the Public Relations Department of Rosseti Centre, for the poem “Motherland”, written for the competition.
The winners were awarded with mementos.
“We’ve been running online contests since last year and they’ve consistently generated a lot of interest. And the patriotic competition “Father. Fatherland. Homeland” was no exception: the works of the participants collected more than 800 thousand views! And this is no coincidence. After all, love for the Fatherland, for relatives and friends, pride in those who, with their daily work, move our country forward, the desire to contribute to this important and necessary cause - these are the values that unite all of us,” stressed General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
