Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region mobilized due to bad weather

From the evening of 8 August, in a number of subjects of the Central and Volga Federal Districts, weather conditions worsened: heavy rain, thunderstorm, wind up to 20 m/s were recorded. Bad weather also affected a number of regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. Currently, both companies are operating in the mode of maximum mobilization and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

High-alert mode was introduced in the branch of Rosseti Centre - Tverenergo. The information exchange with territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities was organized. Operational and maintenance personnel was mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, devices, clothing, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared to work around the clock in all conditions. In the branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region - Kalugaenergo, the previous evening, due to weather conditions and an unfavourable forecast, a meeting of the operational headquarters was held, with special control over the functioning of power system facilities supplying socially significant and infrastructure facilities.

If necessary, the high-alert mode will be promptly introduced in other branches of the companies. Currently, in case of deterioration of the weather, a set of preventive measures is being implemented here. Continuous monitoring of meteorological conditions is being carried out, control over electric grid infrastructure facilities has been strengthened, and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities has been provided.

A list was formed and the composition of mobile crews of branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region was prepared, ready, if necessary, to be promptly put forward to assist in emergency recovery operations outside their service areas. In total, 2,941 crews consisting of 12,913 people, 4,368 automotive and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contracting organizations can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all branches of the power companies. The power engineers have at their disposal 1,963 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of 60.08 MW, which can be used to temporarily supply power.
