General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy had a working visit to the Nizhny Novgorod region

19 April 2019

As part of the task of consolidating power grid assets, the head of the company examined the 110/10 kV substation “Oksky Bereg” designed to provide power for the residential complex “Oksky Bereg” and its neighbouring settlements, including the settlement of Novinki. The purpose of the ongoing consolidation of electric grid facilities is, first of all, to ensure high standards of quality and reliability of energy supply to consumers, as well as to provide energy security through the introduction of common principles of operational and technological management, uniform requirements of technical and operational policies.

At present, IDGC of Centre and Volga Region is considering the issue of acquiring the 110/10 kV substation “Oksky Bereg”. The implementation of this transaction is not only aimed at fulfilling the strategic task of consolidating power grid assets, but will contribute to resolving the current problems of the co-investors and the early resumption of the construction of the residential complex “Oksky Bereg”.

Also, during his visit to Nizhny Novgorod, Igor Makovskiy held a number of working meetings with the executive office of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (included in ROSSETI’s Group of Companies), as well as the management of the branch “Nizhnovenergo”.

One of the main topics was the discussion of the implementation of a “pilot” project on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region within the framework of the “Digital Transformation-2030” concept. It is about creating the “Digital Distribution Zone” on the basis of Arzamassky City and Rural Distribution Zone. The project will be implemented with the use of a modern technological complex with digital intelligent control, based on the modern digital substation “Vyiezdnoye”. This will allow real-time monitoring of the operation of the entire power complex in the service area of the branch “Nizhnovenergo”.

As Igor Makovskiy noted, the digitalization of the grid of Arzamassky City and Rural Distribution Zone, and subsequently the entire power grid complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region, will allow to achieve a number of goals that are important both for the power company and its consumers. First of all, we are talking about improving the quality and reliability of power supply, one hundred percent observability of the grid, one hundred percent automation and fault location, reducing costs for the current operation of equipment, expanding the possibilities of automating the development planning of the power grid. The digitalization should also improve approaches to interacting with consumers, and the implementation of a smart electricity metering system will reduce its losses.

At a meeting with experts of the security unit, Igor Makovskiy set strategic goals to enhance work in terms of improving payment discipline and reducing losses in the grids of the branch and the entire company.
