IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division successfully completed the project of centralizing the functions of operational and technological management of grids of 35 kV and above in the area of its operational responsibility with a transition to the target two-level model of operational and technological management.
The readiness of Voronezhenergo’s Grid Control Centre (GCC) to expand operational functions in the scope of technological management and maintenance of power lines, substation equipment and devices was confirmed by a joint commission that operated on 2-4 April in the branch, which included representatives of IDGC of Centre, branches of SO UES “ODU Centre” and the Voronezh Transmission Grid Control Centre. As part of the work of the commission, an emergency response training of the GCC personnel of Voronezhenergo was successfully held, in which the dispatching personnel of the Branch of SO UES of the Voronezh Transmission Grid Control Centre and the operating personnel of power facilities took part.
“Reforming the system of operational and technological management is one of the key projects of the Digital Transformation Concept 2030 and the Concept of Development of the System of Operational and Technological and Situational Management in the electric grid complex of PJSC ROSSETI. As part of this reform, unified grid control centres (EGCC) of all voltage classes will be created in all branches of IDGC of Centre. Digital communication channels and modern information systems of the new Centre will allow dispatch personnel to monitor the state of power grid facilities in real time, analyze parameters of power quality and coordinate work of field-operating and repair crews. This will make it possible to react faster to development of emergency situations in electric grids, and, in general, will ensure reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
The new Unified Grid Control Centre of Voronezhenergo will start operating by the end of 2019.
