The regional stage of the All-Russian Energy Saving Festival #Together Brighter 2017 was held in Kursk on 2 September. One of the most visited at the festival was the exposition of Kurskenergo. Power engineers demonstrated to visitors a working model of an automated system of electricity metering, which saves time necessary for taking and transmitting readings of meters and significantly reducing the amount of electricity that is required for payment as "common house needs" when used in apartment buildings. In addition, they advised everyone on how to reduce electricity consumption at home, how to choose and install meters, as well as on other issues related to energy supply.

Kurskenergo’s specialists gave discs with methodological developments for conducting energy saving lessons in educational institutions to teachers, employees of education departments of administrations of districts of the regional centre.

Kurskenergo’s site was popular not only with adults, but also with children. The children could take part in a drawing competition on the asphalt on the theme of energy saving, get a bright thematic production as a gift - brochures "15 ways of energy saving", and also be photographed against the background of the exposition of the branch.

Presenting the award, Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Demin expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation with the Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre in the field of energy saving and, in particular, that it will become an active participant of festival events next year too.
