Employees of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre took part in the All-Russian ecological clean-up event "Green Russia"

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division in Tambov took part in the city’s clean-up event organized by the administration of the regional centre within the framework of the All-Russian ecological clean-up event "Green Russia". The purpose of the event was to put in order after the summer season a public area in the Laskovsky Quarry - a favourite place of rest for Tambov residents. Among the participants of the clean-up event there were also representatives of the city administration and enterprises and institutions operating in Tambov, as well as over 300 people responding to the call of the authorities.

Employees of Tambovenergo were determined to clean up the coastline near the quarry, where Tambov residents organize picnics, walk with children, and in summer they bathe in the pond. The power engineers worked smoothly and quickly, and brought the territory in order literally in a couple of hours, collecting a total of about 20 bags of different garbage.

"I regularly take part in clean-up events. It’s nice to walk in a clean city, relax in nature with family. For our part, we urge citizens to clean up after resting in public places, because this is our city," stressed Ilya Sshivnov, the head of the Youth Council, the leading specialist of the integrated management systems department at Tambovenergo.

The clean-up event became one of the actions in which the power engineers participated within the program "Green Distribution Zone" of IDGC of Centre, timed to coincide with the Year of Ecology in Russia. To date, under the program all Distribution Zones of Tambovenergo have carried out a set of measures for the improvement and landscape gardening of the territories adjacent to facilities of the enterprise. Similar work was conducted on the eve of 9 May at memorials to the fallen on the battlefields during the Great Patriotic War in different districts of the Tambov region. In addition, the power engineers put in order a memorable sign to the first inventor of the incandescent lamp, Alexander Lodygin, in his native village of Stenshino in Petrovsky district. Results of the program "Green Distribution Zone" will be summed up at the end of the year.
