13 September 2017

At the training centre of the branch of PJSC IDGC of South - Astrakhanenergo, the professional skill competitions of SDCs of Rosseti on electricity metering continue.

The competitions started from the zero stage "Review of crews", then the "Replacement of a single-phase electricity meter" stage was followed. The purpose of the "Review of crews" is to check the participants’ readiness and their admission to work. Both teams coped with this task.

The first serious test of the tournament was the stage "Replacement of a single-phase electricity meter", where not only the correctness of the work was assessed, but also the time taken to replace the meter, as well as the skills to check the meters.

"The conditions in which the crews worked were as close as possible to the real ones, thus the judges had an opportunity to get a full picture of the level of staff readiness for such work," commented the head of IDGC of Centre’s team, deputy director for sale and development of services of the "Belgorodenergo" branch Alexander Kosolapov.

The power engineers of both teams successfully fulfilled all the tasks assigned to them. The result of the team of IDGC of Centre is 80 points, which is the maximum at this stage. IDGC of Centre and Volga Region collected 59 points.

Today, both teams have a difficult and eventful day. Each of them plans to pass - three tests - the stages "Instrumental verification of a measuring complex with a three-phase electricity meter", "Verification of knowledge of operating instructions and norms" and "Relieving the victim with electric shock and providing first aid".

In total, during four competitive days power engineers of power grids in central Russia and the regions of the Volga region will participate in five tests. Summing up and awarding winners of the Interregional Competitions of Professional Mastery of Personnel for Electric Power Metering will be held at the closing ceremony on 15 September.
