Forces and means of IDGC of Centre are ready to eliminate technological violations caused by bad weather

According to Roshydromet, in the near future in a number of regions of Central Russia, weather conditions are forecast to deteriorate: rain showers, thunderstorms, wind increase, in some places hail. Power engineers of IDGC of Centre have been mobilized to eliminate consequences of possible emergencies on the territory of the company’s service area (11 subjects of the Central Federal District).

In branches operating in the regions for which an unfavourable forecast of meteorologists has been received, a high availability operation mode has been introduced. Meetings of crisis management centres were held under the leadership of enterprise managers, at which a number of organizational decisions were made. Special control over the operation of power facilities has been established. An information exchange was organized with the territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, accessories, overalls, provided with all-road specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock operation in any conditions.

In the remaining branches of the company, in case of weather deterioration, a set of preventive measures is implemented. Continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation is carried out, control over facilities of the electric grid infrastructure is also strengthened and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional and local authorities is ensured.

First responding staff is in full readiness. If necessary, 1,647 crews consisting of 8,378 people, 3,200 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors, can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all IDGC of Centre’s branches.
