IDGC of Centre’s specialists help power companies of the Crimea

IDGC of Centre has continued to provide assistance to the energy sector of the Crimean Federal District to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Currently, first responding and maintenance staff of mobile crews of the Voronezh branch of the company carries out maintenance work on the backup power supply sources, installed at socially important facilities of federal importance of the city of Sevastopol.

Since November last year, this is the third trip to the Crimea of Voronezhenergo’s power engineers. Please, be reminded that on the night of 21 to 22 November as a result of explosion of power line poles in the Kherson region, power supply of the peninsula was interrupted, and emergency operation mode was set there. Then mobile crews of Voronezhenergo delivered to the Crimea, installed and connected 27 backup power supply sources with total capacity of over 800 kW.

Specialists from the Lipetsk, Tambov, Belgorod and Kursk branches of IDGC of Centre with the Voronezh power engineers helped the Crimean colleagues restore power supply. Together, they provided electricity for schools, kindergartens, and medical institutions of Krasnogvardeisky, Simferopolsky, Saksky districts and the city of Sevastopol. Total for the restoration of power supply of socially important facilities of the Crimean Federal District IDGC of Centre sent to the republic more than 200 generating sets, the overall total capacity of which exceeded 9,100 kW.

For effective cooperation, timely and efficient emergency response, ensuring the stable power supply to customers the employees and management of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division were awarded letters of appreciation of district administrations of the Republic of Crimea.
