Third Hockey Tournament of IDGC of Centre opened in Tver

Today in Tver the opening of the Third Hockey Tournament of IDGC of Centre took place. The bright sports festival of the largest electric grid company in Central Russia is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Tver power system.

Together with the teams of the Executive Office of IDGC of Centre, Belgorod, Kursk, Orel, Tver, Lipetsk and Yaroslavl branch offices of the company for the right to become the best hockey team among the power industry fellow teams of PJSC "MOESK" and the branch of "IDGC of North-West" - "Karelenergo" will compete . February 18 and 19 there will be a total of 9 teams on the Tver ice during the tournament.

 

After the vibrant opening dignitaries of the sporting event said their parting words to the power engineers. The head of the city of Tver Alexander Korzin, wishing the players good luck, stressed that they will be helped with the Tver ice, which nurtured such champions of the world as Ilya Kovalchuk, Denis Kokarev, Denis Denisov, and others.

First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin was pleased to note that this year the corporate tournament expanded its geography. "I welcome the colleagues from the neighbouring regions. Your participation proves once again that we are in IDGC of Centre are moving in the right direction, relying on team cohesion. And what unites people better than playing in the same team on the same rink, with one goal? Sport is the best opportunity to test our strength, agility and ingenuity," stressed Alexander Pilyugin. At the same time Chairman of the primary trade union organization of IDGC of Centre Victor Ablezgov noticed that the hockey tournament has long been a tradition in the company, which is sure to continue.

During the opening ceremony organizers of the tournament gave special attention to veterans of the Tver power system – employees of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division, who for many years were devoted to persistent creative work for the benefit of the Upper Volga power system. Stands welcomed veterans with applauses, and the Youth Council gave gifts to them.

Now the game of the tournament is in full swing. There are play-offs in place, and in the evening places 9, 8 and 7 will be settled. Fans are waiting for tomorrow’s most interesting fights, when the power engineers will be competing for the top prize – the winner of the Third Hockey Tournament Cup of IDGC of Centre.
