IDGC of Centre is operating through the flood steadily

The flood situation, prevailing in the Central region of Russia, did not affect the proper functioning of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre. Electricity to consumers is being supplied in the normal mode.

At the moment, the operation of equipment of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo, Voronezhenergo, Smolenskenergo, Tambovenergo and Tverenergo divisions is under strict control. The risk of flooding of the equipment is still present in these areas. In this regard, inspections of equipment, drainage facilities, drainage systems, and pumping units at substations are being performed more often.

Availability of special equipment and machinery, including fixed and mobile pumps, motor boats to be used is being kept. Totally in case of emergency response during the flood IDGC of Centre may involve 1329 crews (7916 persons and 2045 pieces of motor and special vehicles), including 90 crews of increased mobility consisting of 520 persons and 165 vehicles. 139 crews of contractors may be brought for additional restoration efforts.

The operational situation is under control of the Central Flood Commission of IDGC of Centre, there is work closely with local authorities, territorial hydrometeorological services, and divisions of EMERCOM of Russia.
