Employees of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre were given state awards

Two employees of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division, Chief of Volgorechensky Distribution Zone Vladimir Kurakin and an electrician of a first responding mobile crew of Ostrovsky Distribution Zone Ivan Shargalo were awarded the honorary title "Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation".

Vladimir Kurakin got the award certificate and pin "Honoured Power Engineer" on 22 December in Moscow from the hands of Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich at the organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy gala evening dedicated to the celebration of the Power Engineers’ Day. Ivan Shargalo the same day was awarded by the Kostroma Region Governor Sergey Sitnikov.

 

Vladimir Kurakin has been in the power industry for 30 years, 28 of them working as Chief of the Distribution Zone. In the process of reforming the energy system he managed to organize the work of the subdivision entrusted to him, was repeatedly personally involved in the liquidation of consequences of emergency situations caused by natural elements.

Ivan Shargalo has worked in the industry for about 40 years. Under his leadership an emergency and repair crew was formed and staffed to participate actively in the aftermath of a hurricane in the summer of 2011. With his direct participation complex technological disturbances were repeatedly eliminated.

In total 22 December awards of various levels were given to nearly forty power engineers of Kostromaenergo.
