IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division has entered the final phase of preparation for the autumn-winter operation period of 2015-2016. Power engineers pay special attention to this activity as to ensure reliable power supply to citizens, industrial and social facilities in the coldest months of the year is one of the main tasks of the industry. Under the guidance of Orelenergo’s Director Andrey Dudin the branch developed and successfully implemented a set of measures aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of the work during winter peak loads.
Andrey Dudin set Orelenergo’s team the goal - to realize the plan of preparation for the autumn-winter operation period conservatively - and the power engineers are coping with it. The company has almost completed activities of the repair program - one of the most important stages of the preparatory work. The results of eight months show a significant excess of its annual plan: Orelenergo has executed work on repair of 35-100 kV substations, package transformer substations and distribution points, cables and overhead power lines at more than 90% - one of the best indicators of the company.
Successful implementation of the program of repairs allows Orel power engineers to focus on preparation for obtaining a certificate of readiness - a document confirming that the company has all the conditions for reliable operation during cold weather. As the results of the ended in late August internal check show, Orelenergo completely and at a high quality level implemented the schedule comprising 175 compulsory measures to prepare for the winter, determined by Order of IDGC of Centre dated 24.06.2015 # 243 "About preparation for the autumn-winter operation period of 2015/2016".
The final results of the preparation of Orelenergo to work during the will be announced during the check of the branch by the interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives of Territorial Administration of Rostekhnadzor, General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Orel region, the Orel region authorities, and IDGC of Centre. It is expected to take place in the second half of September. In the absence of observations and deficiencies Orelenergo will be awarded a certificate of readiness for operation during the autumn-winter period.
