IDGC of Centre provides prospective development of the million city of Voronezh

The Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre continues modernizing six supply substations, providing electricity to the city of Voronezh: substations ##13, 39, 42 (Cominternovsky district), ##43, 44 (Left Bank district) and #28 (Sovetsky district). The company spent about 365 million rubles on the modernization of the power facilities. The need for renovation is associated with the rapid growth of energy consumption in the dynamic developing city of Voronezh, it will allow significantly to increase the reliability of power supply of enterprises and the population of the regional centre, as well as to provide an opportunity for connection of new customers to electric grids.

Thus, the re-equipment of substation #13 "Student’s" will create conditions for the construction of large multi-storey complexes in Kominternovsky district, where there is intensive residential construction. The modernization of 110 kV substation #43 will make possible the development of the left-bank part of the city, including the construction of high-rise residential complexes there, industrial premises and grid connection of treatment plant with a design capacity of 4 MVA with the 1st category of power supply.

IDGC of Centre plans to complete the reconstruction of the substations this year. The company’s specialists seek to finish all the work before the start of the autumn-winter operation period in order to provide more reliable and quality power supply to consumers in Voronezh during the cold weather.
