IDGC of Centre implements a new highway grid connection project

12 March 2015

The Tver branch of IDGC of Centre has completed the next stage of reconstruction and construction of power facilities for the grid connection of OJSC "Mostotrust" - a company engaged in the construction of a new highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The road will pass through Konakovsky, Kalininsky, Torzhoksky, Spirovsky, Vyshnevolotsky and Bologovsky districts of the Tver region. All work is done in the framework of the investment program of Tverenergo. About 245 million rubles were allocated for the project to construct 50 km of medium voltage power lines.

To date, the power engineers have completed the construction of double circuit overhead power lines of 10 kV and 6 kV at the Substation 35/10 kV Budovo, Substation 35/6 kV Red May, Substation 35/10 kV Plotichno with a total length of about 30 km, completed the construction of cable lines of 6 kV and 10 kV with a total length of 1.5 km. At present, the work is being completed at the Substation 35/10 kV Vydropuzhsk, Substation 35/6 kV Borisovo for the construction of more than 11 km of double circuit overhead power lines of 10 kV and 6 kV and more than 1.6 km of cable lines of 6 kV.

The work is being carried out with the use of modern technologies and materials. Energy facilities are equipped with new bays with vacuum circuit breakers with draw-out elements with the installation of relay protection based on microprocessor devices. At 5 substations the work on installation and commissioning of 6 bays of 10 kV and 4 bays of 6 kV has been fully performed. At the Substation 35/10 kV Budovo two power transformers TC 6300 kVA have been installed.

In 2015, the work at the power facilities will continue with construction of double circuit overhead power lines of 6 kV and 10 kV.
