IDGC of Centre to hold "The motor rally of energy efficiency" in the Orel region

October 6, 2014 IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division will start a large-scale project "The motor rally of energy efficiency" to educate pupils of junior, middle and high school with modern energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies in the electric power industry.

Within the project an electric vehicle will not only deliver power engineers to a place of conducting classes, but also will serve as a showpiece and a test sample. Children will be able to visually examine the device and functionality of the green car, as well as to drive it. The power engineers will describe in detail the principles of fuel economy, environmental impact of this type of transport compared to the petrol counterpart. In addition to the theoretical material, videos, slides and cartoons presented in the classroom, energy-saving technologies used in the branch will be shown as an illustrative example.

In addition to it, the company's website will have an interactive map, on which the electric vehicle route will be marked in 24 districts of the region, places to visit, the number of participants and photos. The motor rally will end on November 11, the International Day of Energy Saving. During the official meeting the total energy savings will be calculated, and the results of the useful effect on the environment will be summed up.

Until the end of 2014, announced in IDGC of Centre as a year of energy efficiency, on the territory of the company’s service area there will be a series of events dedicated to the problem of energy conservation and efficiency.
