The results of the competition of power engineers have been summed up. The second day of the Games was also distinguished with high heat of sports competitions. The hottest battles broke out on the volleyball court. The Kostroma team was the strongest in this sport. The silver medal winner was the branch of Belgorodenergo, and bronze went to Tambovenergo. The honorary title of "Best player in volleyball" was given to Alexey Bolshakov from Kostroma.
Men and women competed in cross running. According to a decision of the jury, due to abnormally hot weather the distance was reduced. For men it was 1.5 km in the length and 800 metres for women.
Among men under 35 Vladimir Bocharov (Kurskenergo) showed the best score – 4.23 seconds, Mikhail Gerasimov (Kostromaenergo) came the second with a small margin, and Alexander Khodosenko (Tverenergo) crossed the finish line third.
Men of the older age group the first place was taken by Sergey Meshalnikov (Kostromaenergo), second went to Nikolay Novikov (Voronezhenergo), and Alexander Siderenkov (Smolenskenergo) took the third place.
In the women's track and field race (aged under 35) Elizaveta Kostrova (Tverenergo) became the first, Evgenia Karlova (Voronezhenergo) finished second, and Anna Zarubina (Yarenergo) closed the three leaders.
Women of the older age group showed a greater will to win. Zhanna Titova of Vverenergo got the first place, the second place went to Elena Popova (Voronezhenergo), and Tatiana Kalemalkina (Orelenergo) took third.
According to the results of athletics competition the places were distributed as follows: the winner is the team of Voronezhenergo, Tver power engineers are the second, and the third place went to the team of Bryansk.
The best at the chessboard were representatives of the branch of Belgorodenergo, Yaroslavl power engineers were the second, and the Tver team took the third place.
At the football field the decisive goal was scored by the team of Bryansk, thereby securing their first place in the standings, the second place went to the team of Kursk, and Yaroslavl power engineers took the third one.
By the end of the Games the title of "Best player of the tournament in mini-football" was given to the goalkeeper of Kurskenergo’s team Ruslan Safarov.
The table tennis tournament ended with indisputable victory of athletes of the branch of Belgorodenergo, the second place went to Orel tennis players, and the Kostroma team took the third place.
In the evening a closing ceremony of the Games will be held.
