A new central diagnostics laboratory began operating at IDGC of Centre

24 July 2014

To maintain the efficiency of electrical equipment and ensure reliable energy supply a new central diagnostics laboratory was commissioned at IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division whose primary function is to conduct the physical and chemical and chromatographic analysis of electrical gases and liquids.

Timely analysis of electrical gases and liquids reveals defects such as – reduced insulating properties, presence of not permissible amount of sludge in liquids, etc., in the oil-filled equipment, in order to prevent possible outages. The laboratory of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division has the capability to conduct the full range of analysis of electrical gases and liquids, and the laboratory is equipped with a modern and high-precision instrumentation fleet, as a resulting of which the process of analysis is almost entirely automated.

Opening of an own chemical laboratory at IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division allowed the power company to refuse to carry out the work by contractors, improve the qualitative and quantitative level of the analysis of electrical liquids and gases, which in turn increases the reliability of electricity supply to customers, as well as the maintenance of electrical equipment in health at the highest level.
