A plant under construction has been included in the Register of investment projects of the Kostroma region with most favoured treatment and is of great importance for the economy and development of the region.
This project is being implemented by the American company "National Oilwell Varco" in the city of Volgorechensk of the Kostroma region. It is assumed that the plant will produce different load capacity rigs, installations for maintenance of wells and other drilling equipment. There are plans to create 300 new jobs. Investment in the enterprise will be around 3 billion rubles. Start of the plant operation is scheduled for February 2015.
The investor has already signed a grid connection contract with the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre. Required maximum capacity for the plant is 5,381 kW. Currently the power engineers have started to design electrical networks, which will supply electricity to the plant. Power supply for the production will be fed from the substation 110/35/10 kV "KPD" with two new cable lines, with their approximate length of 3 km each. Also for the purposes of power supply of the plant a new 10 kV distribution point will be constructed. Currently the procedure of selection and agreement of a land plot for its installation is in under way.
Approximate amount of investments of IDGC of Centre in the power grid construction for the project is 40 million rubles.
