IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division continues restoring power supply in the Tver region

Operational and maintenance personnel of IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division in a continuous mode is working to restore the damaged by the bad weather power facilities and power lines. Crews are making rounds and inspections of power line for damage and eliminating the identified defects. During the restoration operations 23 overhead lines of 35 kV and one overhead line of 110 kV were connected. The emergency and restoration operations are complicated with increasing gusty winds and icing with transition to low temperatures.

To expedite the restoration of electricity supply in districts of the Tver region, which suffered from the bad weather, the number of Tverenergo’s repair crews was increased. Currently the work involves 185 crews, 693 people, and 185 necessary vehicles. The work to restore the power supply to consumers will be conducted around the clock until complete restoration.

All socially important facilities at the cyclone-affected areas were connected to the power supply. For this purpose, 40 redundant power supply sources were applied, their connection is also with a backup power supply circuit.

Help to Tver power engineers is being provided by additional crews arrived from the branches of IDGC of Centre — 17 crews from Orel, Bryansk, Tambov, Smolensk, and 4 — from the subsidiaries of the holding — 2 of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, 2 — of IDGC of North-West, and 2 — of Moscow United Electric Grid. Resources 15 crews of contractors were attracted, as well as the staff of Valdai PMES. To clear the approaches to the damaged power facilities and power lines staff of forestry and hunting management was involved.
