12 December 2013

Due to the deterioration of weather conditions — wet snow, freezing rain, in the Tver region in IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division has set up high alert operation mode.

In the next few days in the region the strengthening of the western, north-western wind with gusts up to 15-20 m/s is expected, in some areas there will be possibly wet snow.

Operational staff has been relocated to the affected areas. Work is being performed by 70 crews of 220 people with all necessary special vehicles. Power supply of social facilities is being restored in the first place. For work own forces have been mobilized, and power engineers of contractors have been brought in. Assistance in the disaster relief is being provided by power engineers of the Smolensk and Orel branch of IDGC of Centre.

The work is being performed around the clock until complete restoration of power supply in the region.

All the necessary information on the restoration status can be obtained via the around the clock direct telephone line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115. The call is toll-free.
