Specialists of Bryanskenergo strengthened control over power facilities in anticipation of worsening weather conditions

In connection with the forecast worsening weather conditions in the Bryansk region IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division set up the high alert operation mode. In order to ensure smooth and reliable operation of electrical networks monitoring of equipment conditions and operability of all power facilities was strengthened.

In all Distribution Zones of Bryanskenergo operational and maintenance personnel of firs responding crews and staff on duty at substations are in alert.

Currently, no power outages have been recorded.

The high alert mode was introduced in connection with possible worsening of weather conditions: according to FGBI «Bryansk CGMS» 6-7 December 2013 in the Bryansk region cloudy weather with clearings, precipitation in the form of wet snow, blizzard is some places, wet snow, and sleet on roads is expected. The wind is southwest at 9 — 14 m/s, gusts up to 15 — 20 m/s.

In case of emergencies and technological failures in the power system there is a clear plan provided to call and make alert first responding crews. When the need for emergency and restoration operations the company may be involve 96 crews (649 people), equipped with necessary tools, appliances and clothing, who will have 122 off-highway special vehicles at their disposal. There are 60 redundant power supply sources.

For the purpose of informing the public about outages occurred in electric grids and progress of emergency and restoration operations IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division operates the around the clock hotline at 8 800 50 50 115.
