IDGC of Centre has exceeded the annual plan for clearing ROWs along overhead lines

3 December 2013

For 11 months in 2013 IDGC of Centre has exceeded the annual program of clearing ROWs along overhead lines. Specialists of the company in excess of the annual plan have cleared 0.15 thousand hectare of ROWs, its implementation was 101%. It is planned to clear a further 0.1 thousand hectare by the end of the year.

Work is performed in accordance with the «Multi-year program to expand ROWs of 0.4-110 kV overhead lines of IDGC of Centre in the period from 2011 to 2026», in order to maintain them in the regulatory state. In accordance with the program, particularly in the service area of IDGC of Centre in the period from 2013 to 2018 it is planned to clear 96.2 thousand hectares of ROWs. Over 50% of the planned amount of work falls on the branches of Tverenergo (28.0 thousand hectares), Smolenskenergo (12.3 thousand hectares) and Kostromaenergo (10.9 thousand hectares). Despite the large amount, for the period from 2011 to 2012 the above-mentioned branches cleared 0.48 thousand hectares over the plan. Their specialists are coping successfully with this job in the current year too. Clearing the ROWs is performed year-round, not depending on weather conditions. Even hitting those regions in late autumn an anomalous snow cyclone could not stop implementation of planned amounts.
