IDGC of Centre took part in the All-Russian training for civil defense

October 4, the Day of Civil Defence of the Russian Federation, five branches of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo, Kostromaenergo, Kurskenergo, Lipetskenergo and Orelenergo participated in the All-Russian training for civil defense. The event was chaired by the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Vladimir Puchkov, and was aimed at determining the degree of readiness of Civil Defence to carry out its tasks. It involved the federal executive bodies, executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation, and the local government of city and municipal districts.

For the branches of IDGC of Centre the training began at 06 hours 05 minutes, when operators on duty of the Grid Control Centres received signals via regional warning systems. Controls of Civil Defence and staff of the branch offices in close collaboration with the authorities of Civil Defence of regional and municipal levels, as well as the General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the regions started to implement priority activities of Civil Defence.

In the course of their conduct the branches practiced civil defense items such as notification and gathering of a management team of Civil Defence, members of the Commission on Emergency Prevention and Response and Fire Safety, leaders of emergency services of the regions; public awareness through the media; deployment of groups to monitor the implementation of measures for civil defence and operational headquarters in General Directorates of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations of the regions.

According to the results of the training the branches of IDGC of Centre coped with the tasks successfully, no comments to their performance were received. The results of the event were announced on a video conference call led by the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence and Emergencies.
