Operational headquarters of IDGC of Centre continue to operate around the clock

On the morning of December 1, 2012 in all branches of IDGC of Centre a normal scheme of power supply operates, and electrical equipment in all branches works steadily.

Branches of IDGC of Centre “Tverenergo” and “Smolenskenergo” last day worked in a special mode of operation due to unfavourable weather conditions. In connection with this there are inspections of equipment and rounds of power lines are performed more often, sufficient number of restoration crews is on duty around the clock, operators of Distribution Zones immediately informed the Grid Control Centre of the branches about the facts of icing on the equipment and the risk of accidental interruptions.

At a regular meeting of the operational headquarters of IDGC of Centre, which was held in the morning December 1, 2012 headed by Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer Sergey Shumakher, it was decided, in accordance with the decision of the Headquarters of the electric grid complex, to cancel in the branches of IDGC of Centre “Smolenskenergo” and “Tverenergo” the special operation mode and introduce high alert from 11.00 December 1, 2012. In addition, at the meeting of the headquarters of IDGC of Centre the branch managers of “Kostromaenergo” and “Yarenergo” were instructed to ensure increased monitoring of weather conditions and operating environment due to forecast poor weather conditions in the territories of the Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions.

At the meeting of the headquarters of IDGC of Centre it was also noted that the operation and restoration crew of “Smolenskenergo”, which was sent the other day to help the branch of IDGC of North-West “Pskovenergo”, had come and started the repair work. The other crews of IDGC of Centre, which were sent to “Pskovenergo”, will arrive within the day.

The operational headquarters of IDGC of Centre continue to work around the clock, quickly interacting with the Headquarters of the electric grid complex, executive bodies and local units of EMERCOM.
