Belgorod Region Governor presented awards to power engineers

Belgorod Region Governor Evgeny Savchenko presented state awards to employees of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division.

For their contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex and many years of hard work by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 08.08.2012 the honorary title “Honoured Power Engineer of Russia” was given to three Belgorod power engineers: electrician of Novooskolskiy Distribution Zone Vladimir Kovalev, electrician of Northern section of power lines service of High-Voltage Grid Office Ilya Bashkatov and veteran of Belgorodenergo Vasily Kotenev.

“This is deserved evaluation of high professional impact of the people who are the pride of our region. Our common goal — to fill our activities with even more value, so that everyone can make a significant contribution to the further development of the region,” — stressed Evgeny Savchenko.

Vladimir Kovalev was one of the first to learn and put into practice methods of diagnostics of 110-10 kV circuit breakers. Ilya Bashkatov participated in the design and reconstruction of the strategic power line of 110 kV “Gubkin 330 — LGOK”. Veteran of Belgorodenergo Vasily Koteneva for many years of work had to participate not only in the work on power lines and substations in his area, but also in restoring electricity supply of residents in the Moscow region, interrupted by the “freezing rain” in late 2010 — early 2011.

The state awards are the highest appreciation of labour merits of the power engineers.
