The results of the annual All-Russian contest “Engineer of the Year — 2011” were summed up. This year the contest received the highest evaluation of industry professionals, the engineering community and was supported by the leaders of countries and regions. The objectives of the contest include: to promote engineering and to identify the best engineers of the country, to share experiences and draw attention of state structures to the engineering problems in Russia.
Specialists of IDGC of Centre took part and won in the contest “Engineer of the Year — 2011”. Head of electricity balance, power forecasting and analysis of energy losses of electric energy delivery Office of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division Alexander Zhivtsov won the first (qualifying) round of the contest in the category “Professional Engineers”. The right to participate in the qualifying round at the country level, Alexander Zhivtsov won by his last year’s victory in the same category in the same regional contest in the category “Electricity supply. Electrical networks and systems”.
With the direct participation of Alexander Zhivtsov the integration of the automated electricity metering system “Basis” with the SAP ERP-system was completed, which allows to obtain data on the volume of electricity transmitted through the network in the on-line mode.
“My project is implemented within the branch and aimed at optimization and control over operation, development of software products that reduce energy losses, — explained Alexander. — The award is honorable, but also imposes certain obligations, raising the bar in terms of the results and achievements”.
The regional contest “Engineer of the Year — 2011” highly appreciated the work of Specialist of Section of Integrated Management Systems of IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division Xenia Ignatenko “Creation of an integrated system of business process management through improved efficiency and effectiveness of the QMS under ISO 9001:2008”. The work won in the nomination “Quality Management” in the category “Young Engineers”.
At the solemn meeting in the administration of the Lipetsk region, where the award ceremony was held in her reply, Xenia Ignatenko stressed: “My first participation in the contest ‘Engineer of the Year’ was in 2006. Then I took a winning place. The today’s victory is very important for me as a reflection of my professional development over the past five years and a major motivation for further growth. Opportunity for professional development is an important factor for many young professionals. All the conditions have been created in IDGC of Centre for it that gives me more confidence in the future”.
The winners of the contest in the Voronezh region were three employees of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division at once. Engineer for relay protection and automation of category 1 of relay protection and emergency control Section of Voronezh section Dmitry Anischenko and Engineer of category 1 of diagnostics Service of the branch Oleg Kireev received medals of the 3rd degree in the nomination “Electricity and heat mechanical annex” in the category “Young Engineers”, and Leading Engineer for relay protection and automation Section of Liskinsky section Evgeny Kuznetsov won the third place in “Power and heat engineering” in the category “Professional Engineers”.
