IDGC of Centre has implemented the first stage of the technological connection of the Siemens plant

Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Centre has implemented the first stage of the technological connection of the plant for the manufacture of transformers of “Siemens Transformers” LLC, which was officially opened in Voronezh.

Experts of IDGC of Centre performed the full range of necessary measures for technological connection of the plant to the grid of the Company to provide commissioning of the production equipment in time.

Please, be reminded that on July 1, 2011 the Governor of the Voronezh region Alexey Gordeev, General Director of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Gudzhoyan and President of Siemens LLC in Russia and Central Asia, Vice-president of the Concern Siemens AG Dietrich Moeller signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation. The power supply efficiency increase in the Voronezh region, the development of scientific, technological and production potential and the joint implementation of innovative projects in the field of power transmission were defined as the priority areas of the agreement.

Cooperation within the framework of the tripartite agreement is under way in the innovative spirit, and is already yielding first results. Siemens in the production of high-voltage equipment in the Voronezh region considers necessary for IDGC of Centre specifications, implements innovative models and technologies, which corresponds also the technical regulations and standards of the Company. Some Siemens technologies were first used at the facilities of IDGC of Centre.

In addition, IDGC of Centre pays great attention to the reconstruction of its grids. The new production of Siemens LLC to some extent will satisfy the need of major grid companies, among which is IDGC of Centre, for power transformers with voltage class up to 220 kV. According to experts, the products of the new plant meet the highest requirements in terms of cost, availability, sustainability and durability. The total investment in the new production has already reached 50 million Euros to create over 400 new jobs for residents of the Voronezh region.
