The first All-Russian Contest of innovative projects has been launched

General Director of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Gudzhoyan took part in the presentation of the first All-Russian Youth Contest of high-tech innovative ideas and projects. The contest was organized jointly by IDGC Holding and Coordinating Council on Youth in scientific and educational spheres under President of the Russian Federation for Science, Technology and Education and with the support of the Society of advocates for development of fundamental and applied science in the interests of the utilities industry, “Utilities of the Future”.

The main objectives of the project are the involvement of young scientists and engineers in the process of innovative development of Russian electric utilities, the search for new technical, economic and management solutions to optimize the distribution grid complex.

The contest has two main directions: “Ideas” and “Projects”. At the end of the Contest authors of the best ideas and projects can be provided with targeted funding for further development and implementation of innovative solutions to operating activities of IDGC Holding.

“This project is unique for Russia since for the first time ‘one package’ has accumulated mechanisms that make possible to bring student developments to the level of an industry solution used in operating activities of one of Russia’s largest companies in the territory of the greater part of the country,” — said at the presentation of the project Deputy Chairman of Coordinating Council on Youth in the scientific and educational spheres under President of the Russian Federation, Deputy General Director of All-Russian Research Institute of Aviation Materials, Russian President award winner for young scientists-2010 Denis Graschenkov.

According to the opinion of a member of Coordinating Council on Youth in the scientific and educational spheres under President of the Russian Federation, General Director of IDGC of Centre Dmitry Gudzhoyan for the promotion of innovative ideas the Company will create favorable conditions, which includes the expected use of created in the regions youth innovation centers.

“We expect the contest to solve two problems: the replenishment of our developed grid infrastructure with young and talented staff and energy efficiency increase through the implementation and widespread use in all 69 subjects of the Russian Federation those works, proposals and projects to be selected as a result of this contest”, — noted Dmitry Gudzhoyan.
