Nikolay Denin, the Governor of Bryansk region, noted: “Today the very important event for Bryansk has taken place. Not often during the last years we were the witnesses of such large-scale changes in power industry, and I am very glad that such changes began to happen when IDGC of Centre had come to Bryansk land. Your participation in social projects being implemented by us is perceived by population positively. “Sovetskaya” will increase reliability of power supply and solve the problem of technological connections to power grids for residential areas being constructed in the city”.
Substation “Sovetskaya” supplies electric power to urban power grids, plant “Kremny”, poultry farm “Snezhka” modern trading centres recently put into operation. Equipment of the facility constructed in 1964 did not meet up-to-date technical requirements, power supply diagram did not allow to provide increasing needs of the city. In this connection the power engineers of the Unified Operating Company of Centre started large-scale reconstruction of supplying center two years ago within the frameworks of regional program of development of facilities of power industry till 2011 and Agreement on co-operation of administration of Bryansk region and IDGC of Centre, JSC on development of power grids and reliable electric power supply of consumers of the region.
“It is remarkably that reconstructed substation “Sovetskaya” is being opened on the eve of 65th anniversary of the Great Victory Day. It means that in May Bryansk, the City of War Glory, has got one more holiday. Putting into operation of renewed powerful power facility solves our common with administration of the region tasks: it will provide reliable power supply of consumers, create conditions for their technological connection to power grids. I wish the power facility uninterrupted work for the good of the residents of the region!” — Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC said.
Now the first reconstruction stage in course of which transformer with capacity of 40 MVA has been put into operation is completed at the substation. Total capacity of transformers of SS Sovetskaya” has attained 81 MVA, and after completion of the second stage of the facility reconstruction which is planned for 2010—2011 it will increase up to 105 MVA. The construction of building of the substation is completed, closed distribution device of 6 kv integrated with joint control point, up-to-dated sulfur hexafluoride and vacuum circuit breakers, remotely controlled disconnectors are installed, open distribution device of 110 kv is reconstructed. All equipment installed at the substation is produced in Russia.
“Mission and those tasks that our company has determined for itself we implement with the help and participation of regional authorities. By joint efforts we shall achieve reliable power supply in the region”, — Nikolay Burenok, Deputy General Director — Director of the branch of IDGC of Centre, JSC — “Bryanskenergo” emphasized.
After completion of all works at the substation Bryansk will receive technical feasibility for development of infrastructure of the territory of old airport where residential area will be, large stores, social facilities will be supplied by electric power. Totally investments in the project will exceed 400 mln. Rubles.
