The contest was held in two stages. At the first stage experts estimated materials presented by contestants. Organisations that had got over 250 scores were transferred to the second stage of the contest. The primary goal of the second stage was check up of fairness of materials presented by contestants at the site.
Power engineers of IDGC of Centre presented their materials and received fair analysis of them made by a group of experts on estimate of the contest participants for prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of quality.
Pavel Madyuskin, Deputy Chief of the Department of Integrated management systems of IDGC of Centre, JSC, noted: “For the first time our company participated in the contest for prizes of the RF Government in the field of quality and became the diploma winner at once. I’m sure that diploma awarding is the high estimate for us as newcomers“.
Participation in the contest will provide the company the opportunity to use the received expert findings for upgrading of its management system basing on the worldwide trends in the field of quality, to determine priority development ways for the power grid complex in the regions of the Company operation.

In 2009 the 13th annual contest for prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of quality was held. The experience of its holding exceeding ten years showed that the contest became the unique all-national program on promotion of advanced management methods for increase of production stability and product competitiveness. The Russian organisations that participated in the contest had been successfully applying the prize model harmonized with the model of prestigious European prize for quality both under crisis conditions in 90s of the last century and within the recovery.
