The sports and athletic meeting is held on the base of “Zarya” recreation and retreat center (set. Perovo, Stupinsky area, Moscow region) on February 17 and 18. The program includes table tennis, chess, skiing race and swimming competitions.
IDGC of Centre is represented by sportsmen of Belgorodenergo, Voronezhenergo, Kurskenergo, Orelenergo, Tverenergo, Smolenskenergo, Yarenergo, who won in the II Winter sports and athletic meeting held on February 4 and 5 in Lipetsk.
This day revealed leaders of skiing race of 5 and 10 km, tennis competitions in sub-groups, among chess-players. At 4 p.m. swimming competitions for 100 meters among men and 50 meters among women started up. Skiing relay for 4 and 5 km, final among the best swimmers and tennis-players are planned for tomorrow.
Viktor Ablyozgov, Chairman of the initial trade union organisation of the Company, reported live: «As of now it is early to forecast anything, results have not been summed up yet. It’s just become known that our tennis-players won from IDGC of Ural, this means they will be inside the best six, who will struggle for medal places. IDGC of Centre team’s mood is vigorous, it corresponds to the company-leader’s spirit. We are just to wait till tomorrow».
Participants of competitions noted that sportsmen were accorded wonderful welcome in the recreation and retreat center, and sport base complies with the international level. This allows each power engineer to bring out his/her full potential and achieve excellent results.
