Opening of Winter sports and athletics meeting of IDGC of Centre, JSC has taken place

Opening the competition Alexey Zelensky, the Director for Personnel of IDGC of Centre, JSC, remarked that sports and athletics meeting plays important role in collective cohesion: “Competition is a challenge to willpower, skill of collective. Besides employees have an opportunity of water-cooler conversation, to share experience, ideas on innovations, which took place in branches, and this is very important for personnel and for the Company as a whole”.

Vladimir Dementyev, the Chief of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of administration of Lipetsk region, member of Russian Olympic Committee, congratulated sportsmen of IDGC of Centre with physical culture holiday: “Sports and athletics meetings are the symbol that in modern Russia people devote themselves to self-education and self-development. Traditions of power engineers of Russia inspire respect: you pay much attention to sports courage from of old. Let’s keep that up! May the best man win the competition”.

The entry list of Winter sports and athletics meeting is formed from sportsmen of executive office and branches of the Company. Sportsmen measure swords in swimming, chess, table tennis and skiing race. An additional stage of competition will be tug-of-war, which results will not be scored for team as a whole. Darts tournament is planned for fans of competition.

Viktor Ablyozgov, the Chairman of primary trade union organization of IDGC of Centre, JSC addressed to sportsmen in the name of trade union committee of the Company. He remarked that sports competition became traditional for power engineers of IDGC of Centre: “We hold winter sports and athletics meeting for the second year. And this is very important because sports influences on collective cohesion favorably, it creates especial microclimate in the Company, forms attitude for victory”.

The winners of Winter sports and athletics meeting of IDGC of Centre will be members of combined team of power engineers and will represent the Company at the II Winter sports and athletics meeting of IDGC Holding, which will take place at the end of February.
