At the training ground of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division in Oktyabrsky district of the Kursk region, the qualifying competitions of professional skills of repair and maintenance crews of 0.4 - 10 kV distribution grids started. For the right to be called the best, experts from specialized crews compete who took the first places in competitions in their units.
The program of the competition consists of seven stages: checking the knowledge of regulatory documents on technical operation, labour protection, industrial and fire safety; the release of the affected person by the action of electric current on the 10 kV anchor reinforced concrete pole by connecting a grounding device on the overhead line wires; conducting resuscitation actions on a simulator dummy; replacement of a defective 10 kV bushing insulator at a 0.4-10 kV package transformer substation; primary connection of a residential house from the existing 0.4 kV overhead line without the use of an aerial; calculation and measurement of the resistance of the “phase-zero” loop in the 0.4 kV network and selection of an LV switch to protect the line; fire extinguishing at a 10 kV-0.4 package transformer substation.
“Our staff solves these tasks every day, including during emergency recovery work,” said the chief judge of the competition Viktor Sokolov. “Within the framework of the competition, they will be able to show their knowledge, skills and abilities, exchange professional experience with each other in order to use it later in their daily activities.
The level of training of competitors is assessed by the main panel of judges and crews of judges at the stages. The best crew will present their Distribution Zone at the final competitions of Kurskenergo, which will be held in May. The winning crew of the final competitions will receive the honorary right to represent the branch at the competitions of the repair and maintenance crews of distribution grids of IDGC of Centre, which will be held in Lipetsk.
