Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division carried out work on the territory of the State Educational Institution “Tambov Regional Specialized Children’s Home”. As part of helping the child care centre, the power engineers dismantled three reinforced concrete poles and 17 non-operational street lighting fixtures, which were installed in the late eighties and eventually became abandoned. Having completed all the measures for dismantling the poles threatening to fall with high quality and in the shortest possible time, the Tambov power engineers ensured the safety of inmates and staff of the children’s institution.
To date, the Tambov Children’s Home is one of the oldest and only institution in the region, created for around-the-clock maintenance, education, medical and social assistance and pedagogical rehabilitation, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of children from birth to the age of four. About 50 children live in the institution.
“We could not remain indifferent to the request of the director of the Children’s Home and found an opportunity to provide all possible assistance in dismantling the old poles and lighting fixtures. Especially since this is primarily about the safety of the inmates. Children left without parental care and children with disabilities, perhaps more than others, need care, attention and support,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
