In 2018 Tambovenergo to clear about 480 hectares of ROWs of power lines to prevent failures

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division is continuing work on clearing ROWs of overhead power lines. To date, employees of the line service and crews of Distribution Zones of the branch have cleared about 31 ha of ROWs of 0.4-35 kV lines. The largest amount of work was done in Sampursky, Pichaevsky, Michurinsky and Gavrilovsky districts.

Clearing the ROWs is an important component of measures to ensure reliable electricity supply to consumers in the region. It is performed to prevent failures caused by falling trees and branches onto wires of overhead lines. In total, by the end of this year, Tambovenergo plans to clear 479.9 ha of overhead power lines from tree and shrub vegetation. 27.2 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
