IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division on the site of the sanatorium-dispensary "Energetik" with the support of the trade union committee held the Day of Health, dedicated to the Day of Memory of Soldiers-Internationalists.
34 employees of the branch who performed international duty in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan and participated in counter-terrorist operations in the North Caucasus were given the opportunity to strengthen their health, to compete in chess and billiards. At the end of the Day of Health, participants in an informal atmosphere over a cup of tea shared their memories of service in "hot spots" and honoured the memory of comrades who did not return from the war. Also, during the evening, songs were played by Alexander Kostyaev, the head of the Zherdevsky section of the power line service of the high-voltage grid office. Alexander, a participant in the military operations in the DRA, repeatedly became the winner of the author’s song contests dedicated to the "Afghan" theme.
"Holding such events has become a good tradition for us. On the Day of memory of soldiers-internationalists, we pay tribute to the heroism of the soldiers and officers who performed their military duty in "hot spots" and honour the memory of the dead," stressed Vladimir Syschikov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director.
It should be noted that the soldiers-internationalists working at Tambovenergo actively participate in the military and patriotic actions and events of the Tambov region that take place in the region. Among them there is assistance and support in erection of monuments to fellow countrymen who performed service duties outside the Fatherland, holding "lessons of courage" in schools and public organizations, participating in processions of the "Immortal Regiment" on Victory Day.
