18.10.2017

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division told about the rules of electrical safety for students of the Tver Chemical and Technology College. The lesson was attended by more than one hundred students and teachers of the educational institution.

The power engineers reminded the students and teachers of the main types and causes of electric shock and detailed about the rules of behaviour near electrical installations. "The most severe electric trauma people get not at home when working with household appliances, but namely in the street. Most often, a person’s electric shock occurs as a result of touching wires or approaching them at an unsafe distance. The danger of an electrical network is that even after a break, the wire can be live. We hope that the knowledge gained at our lessons will allow adolescents not only to avoid the dangerous action of electricity themselves, but also, if necessary, to help other people," stressed Yulia Goncharova, a senior specialist of the production safety and industrial control office of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division.

During the lesson, the power engineers demonstrated to the students the principle of step voltage and the principle of escape from its zone, drew the attention of the students to danger signs and the need to observe security zones of power transmission lines. After that the guys under the leadership of the power engineers were able to train in providing first aid to the victim with electric shock on the simulator-dummy "Gosha".
