IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division together with the regional department of education and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov announces the regional children’s contest on electrical safety and energy efficiency "Energy and Man". Schoolchildren aged 6 to 18 can take part in the competition.
The contest is held from 1 April to 25 November 2017 in three stages: at the school, municipal and regional levels. To reach the finals, the children will not only develop projects and conduct research, but also publicly protect them in front of the audience. You can apply individually or in a group led by a supervisor.
The regional stage, as in the past year, will be held at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. Winners of the municipal selection in each of the nominations and age groups will gather in Belgorod in late November. This time, the children will be defending their models, schemes, projects and researches in front of a strict jury consisting of university teachers and professional power engineers. Those who score the maximum number of points will be recognized as winners and prize-holders. The winners will be awarded in December at the central office of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division, Belgorod, Preobrazhenskaya str., 42.
Participation and victory in the regional stage of the specialized competition for schoolchildren interested in the exact sciences, gives additional points when enrolled in the Institute of Energy, Information Technology and Control Systems of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. In addition, the best works of pupils of grades 8-10, by decision of the organizing committee, can apply for participation in the All-Russian contest of projects "Sirius". Last year, about 100 young researchers from 20 districts of the region presented and defended their projects. More than 30 were among winners and prize-holders. Please, be reminded that the school stage of the contest starts on 1 April.
