Power engineers and a gas company conducted a joint raid

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division together with staff of "Gazprom mezhregiongaz Lipetsk" LLC conducted a raid to prevent theft of energy resources.

The event participants visited several locations of district centres of Volovsky and Dobrinksky districts of the Lipetsk region. The experts checked electricity and gas metering devices, as well as conducted preventive talks about the need to comply with electrical safety regulations.

During the raid they identified 3 cases of unauthorized consumption of electricity, which are related to the wiring connection to bypass the electricity metering device.

Since the beginning of last year in the framework of planned and unannounced inspections and raids in the grids of "Lipetskenergo" 520 cases of non-contractual and non-metered electricity consumption were found. In total unscrupulous consumers underpaid the power company 4.9 million kW/h of electricity consumed.

The largest amount of electricity theft was discovered in Gryazinsky district. In particular, during a check of a legal entity engaged in the production of meat products, improper electricity metering was revealed.

As a result of work with claims and court decisions to date the branch has returned 1.3 million rubles. Acts in the amount of 27 million rubles are in production.

In conjunction with other organizational and technical measures, it provides reliable power supply for conscientious consumers," said the head of the electricity metering office of "Lipetskenergo" Vadim Negrobov.
