10.05.2016

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is continuing information campaign on promotion of energy conservation in the home. The power company believes that one should nurture respect for the natural resources of our country from childhood, so it constantly conducts classes and themed games in schools of the Smolensk region.

So in April 2016 the power company held a lesson in the Temkinskaya School, at which the children were told how to save resources and reduce their costs in a normal apartment. For example, turning off lights and appliances, insulating the space and in a timely manner cleaning dust off lighting fixtures can significantly save on electricity costs. During the lesson the schoolchildren understood the main energy-saving principle - not to consume energy needlessly.

"Holding such lessons helps schoolchildren engage in useful activities on energy efficiency and stimulate interest in the practical application of knowledge," explained Chief of Temkinsky Distribution Zone Alexey Ershov. "With simple and understandable for each examples, we teach the children how to save water and electricity, what light bulbs are better to buy, how "sparingly" to clean the apartment, how to properly charge your gadgets." In addition, the children were asked to tell their parents about what they learned, and become a responsible person in the family for energy conservation.

In the near future staff of the branch also plans to conduct lessons on energy saving in other schools of the region.

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is interested that residents of the Smolensk region, companies and organizations operating in the region are literate consumers, are able to accurately plan the power consumption mode, know principles and methods of energy saving and implement them in practice. And the younger generation is future electricity consumers, employees and managers of small and large enterprises.
