In 2016 Tambovenergo’s specialists to clear about 470 hectares of ROWs along power lines

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division in the implementation of the repair program in 2016 pays considerable attention to clearing ROWs of overhead power lines of trees and shrubs. The work is carried out to minimize the risk of technological failures caused by falling trees and branches on wires of overhead lines, to improve the reliability of power supply to consumers. During the year the power company will clear from shrub and tree seedlings 469 hectares of ROWs along protected zones of 357 overhead power lines. 11 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

The most significant volume of work is planned in the service area of Tambovsky, Morshansksky, Inzhavinsky, Kirsanovsky and Northern Distribution Zones, where forests cover large areas. When carrying out the power company will use modern high-performance machinery, in particular – mulchers, which are designed for shredding wood, stumps and brushes on the vine. The use of a new generation of tools and technologies allows clearing ROWs in the shortest possible time, without harming the environment and risk of fire situations in the forests.
