During the period from January to February 2016 specialists of IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division, held in their service area 36 raids to detect electricity theft.
As a result of these activities 79 acts of non-contractual consumption at more than 1.2 million kW/h and 75 acts of non-metered consumption at 279 thousand kW/h were made in respect of individuals and entities.
The greatest number of facts of non-contractual consumption was recorded on the territory of Lipetsky, Usmansky, Dobrinksky and Dobrovsky Distribution Zones.
Under the law, all violators will have to compensate the damage caused to the energy company.
So citizen P., who lives in the village of Korenevschino, will have to return almost 60 thousand rubles to the power company for the illegal consumption of 26.5 thousand kW/h of electricity by connection to the wire. This amount was credited to the consumer from the date of the previous check.
If the debt is not paid in the specified period materials will be transferred to the internal affairs authorities for initiating administrative or criminal proceedings, and the debt will be charged in court with reimbursement of all legal expenses.
Please, be reminded that Federal Law №307, which entered into force on 1 January 2016, tightened administrative responsibility for illegal consumption of electricity. The penalty for citizens was increased from 3 to 15 thousand rubles, officials - from 6 to 80 thousand rubles, legal entities - from 60 to 200 thousand rubles.
In addition, "Lipetskenergo" warns that such offenses are fraught with not only financial consequences - unauthorized connection to the power grid is dangerous to the life of the offender.
