Power Engineers’ Day for veterans always becomes a special occasion, when there is the opportunity to meet with old friends and colleagues, to remember those who left a bright trace in the history of the industry. Much was said on that day about the power industry during the war, because this year the country celebrated the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Holy War for the freedom of the native country left an indelible scar on the heart of Russia, and lives in the memory of future generations.

Despite all the difficulties of wartime power plants of the city of Kalinin, which were part of "Kalininenergo", reliably provided electricity to enterprises in the city, which were working to defend the homeland.

Chairman of the primary trade union organization of "Tverenergo" Sergey Aksakov thanked all the participants for their many years of work for the benefit of the Tver power system and said that it was these people who laid the foundation of national economy of the country. Veterans have the right to be proud that they are involved in this difficult but very important business to ensure power supply to residents of the Upper Volga region.
