Pupils of schools of Safonovo district of the Smolensk region were taught to save resources

03.11.2015

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division continues its information campaign to promote energy conservation at home. Power engineers believe that it needs to nurture respect for the natural resources of our country starting in the childhood, so they constantly hold classes and themed games in schools of the Smolensk region. So, at the end of October 2015 in school №2 and №6 of the town of Safonovo in the Smolensk region the power engineers told children how to save resources and money in a standard apartment. "The pupils learned the basic principles and methods of rational use of energy, and measures that each schoolchild can take to save energy in their home or school. With illustrative examples existing types and kinds of lamps were demonstrated to them, they were explained what kind of an appliance was the best to choose and how to operate it with minimal power consumption. We hope that the tips of energy saving were important not only for the children but also their teachers," commented Maxim Pavlov, Chief Engineer of Safonovo Distribution Zone.

The main goal of these lessons is to draw the attention of the younger generation to the issues of rational use of energy, creation of a culture of energy conservation.

The lecture was held in the form of a travelling game, accompanied by colourful presentation slides, pictures and interesting questions that the children actively responded to.

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is interested to have residents of the Smolensk region, companies and organizations operating in the region as literate consumers, to be able to accurately plan their energy consumption mode, to know principles and methods of energy saving and implement them in practice. And the younger generation is the future electricity consumers, employees and managers of small and large enterprises.
