Voronezhenergo received its Certificate of readiness for the autumn-winter operation

05.10.2015

2 October the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre received the Certificate of readiness for the autumn-winter operation period (AWP) of 2015-2016. The document was solemnly handed over to Head of the branch Ivan Kleymenov by Deputy Chief Engineer of the company Dmitry Rybnikov.

Voronezhenergo’s readiness was confirmed by the check of a special interdepartmental commission composed of representatives of the Government of the Voronezh region, territorial offices of Rostekhnadzor, EMERCOM of Russia, PJSC "System Operator of Unified Energy System", as well as the regional centre of technical supervision of PJSC "Rosseti" and the executive office of IDGC of Centre.

"Voronezhenergo’s readiness was particularly thoroughly checked for the AWP. Increased requirements for the branch are due to the fact that Voronezh is the only one million city in the service area of IDGC of Centre, in addition, the region is one of the fastest growing," clarified Dmitry Rybnikov at the ceremony of the document handing over.

"The Certificate of readiness is a credit of trust that is necessary to justify the provision of reliable power supply and trouble-free operation during the cold weather," stressed Ivan Kleymenov.

Obtaining the Certificate of readiness by the branch was preceded by a huge amount of work that took the start from the beginning of April this year. In preparation for the winter Voronezhenergo’s specialists performed a total of 925 events (including prescribed by Rostekhnadzor and the interdepartmental commission).

The power engineers performed comprehensive renovation of 8 substations of 35-110 kV and overhauled 686 package transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV, repaired 1,375.8 km of power lines of 0.4-110 kV. As of early October, they cleared more than 1,041 hectares and extended about 400 hectares of ROWs of overhead power lines, for a total of more than two thousand football fields.

In anticipation of the AWP the branch held 40 emergency response trainings, 17 of which were devoted to the elimination of technological violations in the period of low temperatures.

Voronezhenergo has in constant readiness 170 first responding and restoration crews with a total number of 905 people, who are provided with 438 off-road and special vehicles. These include eight crews of increased mobility, which have repeatedly proven their high availability and professional quality in the provision of operational assistance in the aftermath of bad weather during the 2014-15 AWP to colleagues in the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region.
