29.09.2015

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division conducts systematic work to educate residents of the Kostroma region on the bases of rational use of energy resources. One of its main areas is lessons on energy conservation, which power engineers hold in schools of the region. Classes are held in the format of homerooms. Experts of Kostromaenergo introduce children to the concepts of "energy efficiency" and "energy resources", talk about the rules of energy saving and the possibilities of their practical application.

Similar events are organized in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. In the Kostroma State Technological University experts of Kostromaenergo conducted classes with students of the Faculty of automated systems and energy technologies, introducing them to methods of energy saving in gas control units and power supply systems. The events took place in a university laboratory, set up jointly by the university and the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre. In the Kostroma Power Engineering College named after F.V. Chizhov experts of Kostromaenergo held a lecture on energy efficiency, during which they told students about alternative energy sources and different variants of energy-saving technologies.

In total, since the beginning of the year the power engineers have organized 40 classes on energy saving in schools of the region. Another 15 sessions are planned to be held by the end of the year.
